📚 Common Rooting Terms
- Bootloader - Low-level software that starts your OS (must be unlocked for root)
- Temporary Root - Root that exists in memory for the current boot only (e.g. GhostLock/CVE-2026-43499 tools); lost on reboot, no bootloader unlock needed
- Recovery - Special mode for system modifications (TWRP, CWM)
- Systemless Root - Root method that doesn't modify system partition
- Zygisk - Feature for advanced app hooking and hiding
- DenyList - Feature to hide root from specific apps
- Play Integrity - Google's security check (replacing SafetyNet)
- Knox - Samsung's security platform (trips when bootloader unlocked)
